Insurance Defense Associate
Our client, a top global law firm, is seeking a Mid-Level Associate or Senior Counsel to join its growing Austin or Houston office. Remote and hybrid candidates with the right experience will be considered.
Overview:
This is an excellent opportunity to join a global law firm expanding its capabilities in Texas. The firm’s lawyers handle both contentious and non-contentious matters, and provide a range of specialist legal services for many industry sectors, but have particular expertise in litigation and dispute resolution, especially in defending insurance and liability claims.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of litigation experience
- Ability to draft pleadings, discovery, and motions; take and defend depositions and attend court appearances
- Practical case management experience in federal court is preferred
- Arbitration and trial experience is beneficial
- Familiarity with general defense litigation is a plus
- Superior research writing and communication skills
- Must have a JD from an accredited university and excellent academic credentials
- Must be licensed to practice in Texas, with license in Louisiana a plus
